If you are a first time visitor, please read the TheEpicenter.com site notes.
TheEpicenter.com is a World Wide Web site dedicated to raising issues of natural disaster preparedness. We hope you enjoy your stay, learn a great number of things and return often as the site matures and expands.
The bulk of this site provides information about how to prepare for a natural disaster. As part of your preparation, you will learn how to establish a family disaster plan . We have included a check list which we hope you will print, and follow, to aid in your preparation.
Epicenter has also developed products to help you prepare for a natural disaster, but want to stress that there are things you can do on your own, using sources in your own town, to prepare for what may come. After all, if you can locate the supplies we suggest in your own town, you will be able to save money.
Being prepared for an emergency is something you can, and must do. Disaster related organizations will tell you, that you will be on your own for a minimum of 3 days and nights before help arrives, even in the smallest of emergencies.
Natural disasters take many forms. One or more
categories apply to your geographic area. We hope that the information
we provide here will help you prepare for a natural disaster like one of
the following:
Earthquake |
Flood, storm |
Tornado |
Hurricane or Typhoon |
Tsunamis (tidal wave) |
Epicenter believes that surviving a disaster is only the beginning, and think that your visit today will help in evaluating what is important; family, friends and simple things like watching the garden grow. We think that the information provided here is the most comprehensive on the Web, but also provide a list of links to other sites for your exploration.
