The "recipes" for BD 500, 501, etc. are given in several books: Secrets of the Soil (Tompkins and Bird), A Biodynamic Farm (Hugh Lovel); Grasp the Nettle (Peter Proctor), and Bio-dynamic Farm Practice (Sattler and Wistinghausen) among others. The last in this list is excellent for 500 and 501, but does not give much detail on _making_ 502-508. However, more skill and training is required to make proper 502-507, the BD compost preps, than 500 and 501, the BD spray preparations. All of the preps can be purchased from Josephine Porter Institute, P. O. Box 133, Woolwine, Va 24185-133, 540-930-2463. For experimental research studies I would recommend using JPI preps because of the uniformity and quality of what you will be using. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance regarding biodynamics. I am very curious to learn more about your pending research.
