I got bumped from the list when my email address changed and had a really hard time reconnecting until I finally got the right info. By the way, the FAQ section for this list serve is very out of date (wrong listserve managers, wrong website for csa directory etc.); this is something the Van En Center folks would be glad to work on. Hope you all are having a great start to your season. Kathy Ruhf P.S. The CSA directory and database, currently hosted by USDA, will move to the Van En Center. The service is only as good as the information is current. If you have received a "CSA Census" in the mail, PLEASE complete and return it (even if you are not an active CSA this year; there is a place to show this on the form). If you are an active CSA farm and did not receive the "Census", PLEASE contact Jayne Shord at jshord@wilson.edu asap and get counted!! Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: Kathy Ruhf To: tladamso@prairienet.org Cc: jayne shord Sent: Wednesday, April 19, 2000 9:03 AM Subject: csa list serve management Greetings, I am not sure if you are the proper recipient of this message. I am looking for the person who replaced John Barclay as the manager of the great csa list serve. Quite a few months ago, John and I spoke about finding a "stable" management arrangement for the list serve, and I offered, on behalf of the Robyn Van En Center for CSA, for the Center to be considered to take on that function, given its purpose and capacity to serve CSA (it will be primary manager of the national CSA directory, website, database and census, etc). This offer still holds. I would love to have a dialogue with the person(s) who are currently holding responsibility for this list serve. Would you kindly rsvp or forward this message? I know that list serve participants are very active, both on the list serve, and in thinking about a lot of CSA issues. This is a great forum, and we would like to encourage, support, sustain these efforts. Thanks, and best regards, Kathy Ruhf
