We are seeking an Intern for an Apple Project to research the status of apple production in the region, develop a farmer to farmer program to promote organic methods, plant an orchard and create educational materials and programs. The Intern will assist in: collecting and analyzing data from farmer and other interviews, publicizing and coordinating on-farm field days and demonstrations, conducting information searches, planning and planting an on-site orchard, and developing educational materials. Applicants should have a background in orchard management, with some experience in apple production. Experience in journalism is desirable, computer experience is required. $6.50/hour, full-time.
