Hello Fellow Sanetters -                                      3/8/94

As you may know,  OMNIS - the Organic Market News & Information Service was
founded in 1985 by the Committee for Sustainable Agriculture (CSA).  Our
Wholesale Market Report publishes current wholesale prices for organic fresh
fruits, vegetables and herbs every two weeks.  It also reports comparison
prices for conventional (non-organic) produce with indications or over-supply
and under-supply.  Since its inception, the OMNIS Wholesale Market Report has
provided the only systematic reporting of organic produce prices in the
United States.

For the last year the report has been the subject of a USDA funded national
study to identify what information its readers want the publication to
provide, whether there are more convenient and efficient methods of
distributing the publication, 
and new sources of accurate and reliable market information.  

OMNIS will be hosting a Focus Group meeting on the future of the Wholesale
Market Report at the Anaheim Natural Foods Expo this Saturday, March 12.
The Focus Group will afford the opportunity for probing dialogue on these
