A farmer from NE Indiana has contacted me about using the plants as a cover crop to meet residue levels in corn and soybean production. He stated that he received only minimal information at a national machinery show in Louisville, Ky and was told that the crop is mainly used in N. Michigan and nearby Canadian provinces. Information being sought in seed source locations (!), any existing planting information (seeding rates, fertility info., planting dates, etc.), and any experiences SA Netters may have had with the crop.
