digest

I do not subscribe to the digest, because I get the postings as they come.
Yet I receive the digest every couple of days. I have tried to unsubscribe
from the digest, but majordomo tells me I am not subscribed anyway. Has
anyone else suffered this problem- and what must I do to be saved from the
digest?
