In my judgment it's time to end this thread. It's no longer concerned
fundamentally with what the Greek text says but about hermeneutics--in this
instance about what assumptions we bring to bear upon what the text says
whether in Greek or translation (and the Greek text hasn't even been cited
in the most recent posts on this thread). So could we call a halt to it,
please?
