The phrase EIS TOUTO can refer to a previous thought as well as one
anticipated [and often introduced by hOTI or hINA]. It can be separated
from the anticipated clause by any number of words. In this latter case,
the anticipated clause stands in some sort of apposition to EIS TOUTO.
