Have you looked in Louw-Nida's Greek-English Lexicon based on Semantic domains? I would have thought that was your starting place. And then you could look in TLG for uses of the word to do your own analysis....

I can't see how the word could mean "love less" as the "less" part seems dependant on immediate context - i.e. a comparitive genitive following as the subject. It begs "less than what" which would be answered by the object. The verb itself couldn't provide the comparison.

Although someone far more knowledgable will probably put me straight on this.
