We don't always succeed, but we do make a serious effort to prevent
believers of every sort from deliberately offending each other and even
from deliberately offending disbelievers; we also endeavor to prevent
disbelievers from deliberately offending believers. It's a bit more
difficult when this thread has been inaugurated by what appears to be a
sincere question posed to list-members, perhaps most of whom have in fact
begun to study Greek for reasons having to do with their faith, and who,
when asked such a question, will say so honestly. I think that most
list-members have, in fact, responded in a respectful manner, and I regret
that this has not been universally the case.
