The two are unrelated.
Greek has an "i" vowel, written either EI or I
And Greek had a long/close "e" vowel written by H
and Greek had an open "e" vowel written either AI or E
Mishnaic Hebrew may write any of the above with or without yod.
My text of "petra" did NOT have yod.
