<DIV><FONT size=2> Yes.. I have found this volume to be of
great help as well. I use it almost every time I try to study the
GNT (published by Baker Book House, Grand Rapids). It comes
with a neat little 5 X 7 card explaining the abbreviations and symbols, so you
don't have to continually look at the information in the front of the
book. Of course, after a little while you learn what the abbreviations
mean and you don't need the card. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2> I also want to underscore an earlier post
by someone suggesting Mounce's "Morphology of Biblical Greek." Very
helpful. In fact, the entire Zondervan series is quite useful, in my
opinion, especially to anyone who is trying to learn the language on
his/her own. This might not be the series of choice for many of the
big-Greeks, but for us little guys it's real handy to use a set of books that
are keyed to each other, and so clearly written. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2> As most everyone knows, Bill
Mounce has also produced a Greek/English interlinear, with parsing (I
forget its title). If memory serves, however, he alters the word
order of the Greek to match the English, and I don't think I care for
that feature. Aside from that, </FONT><FONT size=2>the
advantage of the Mounce book is that, unlike the Friberg volume, it
provides an interlinear English translation. I know we
are advised not to use interlinears by those who are qualified to give
advice, and they're probably right, but I really find it helpful as a quick
check on my translation efforts, and I think it's possible to use one without
turning it into a crutch. Anyway, if you're looking for a parsing
guide, the Mounce volume might be worth examining.</FONT></DIV>
