Women's Voices of Chapel Hill


Women's Voices of Chapel Hill, a community chorus for sopranos and altos, was founded in 1993 to perform sacred and secular classical music, spirituals, and folk song settings for women's voices. A non-auditioned chorus dedicated to programming a repertoire of 50 percent music by women composers, it has revived music by Ethel Smyth, Amy Beach , Hildegard of Bingen, and Marylou India Jackson.
