Scouting Report: Russ Smith
Strengths-Dickerson is quick, great first step, can really leap and runs all game without tiring. Has a weird shot but it goes in and he has that off balance floater down to a science. Pretty good defender who can rebound and was a team player most of the time at Arizona. <\p>

Weaknesses- basically played in a 3 guard set where a lot of time he guarded SF's, not sure how well he can defend NBA SG's since Simon usually did that in college. Streak shooter because he takes some really difficult shots, sometimes the worst thing he can do is make his first couple of shots because he'll take some really bad ones after thinking he's hot. Not a great ballhandler, most of his game is his first step and his leaping ability. Seems more coachable than Simon, must be a more consistent shooter but I think he can make it (see Mitchell Butler again).

Michael Dickerson has got to be one of the top 5 shooting guards in the draft. He is pretty much neck and neck with Arizona teammate Miles Simon. He really helped himself in the pre-draft camps being named to the 1st team in Phoenix. Can really light it up when he wants to, but can get lost at times. Needs to work on that. He has the ability to be a real contributor in the NBA. I think he should go 18-21 in the draft.
