Scouting Report: Elgin Booth [ewbooth@christa.unh.edu]
Matt Harpring, 6'7, 226, made an immediate impact as a freshman at
Georgia Tech. There's no reason why he won't be able to do the same as
an NBA rookie. Possibly the most firey and intense player in the draft,
he will do what it takes to win. Has a nose for the ball, and despite
being only 6'7, he was a great collegiate rebounder. A former high
school football player who was offered a scholarship to Notre Dame, he
can bang with guys bigger than him and come away with the ball. He will
do his team's dirty work.

Also an accomplished three point shooter, he displayed a nice stroke
from the outside and can score in a number of ways. Some have suggested
his lack of foot speed and great quickness will hold him down in the
pros, but a guy like Harpring will find a way to do in NBA small
forwards that can't compete with his rugged style of play. Probably
best suited to a team that is already successful, he could really give
them a force to be reckoned with off the bench who will blend in nicely
with the returning players. Has a great will to win.

When all of the underclassmen have declared, he will probably be picked
somewhere between 15-20..
Scouting Report: David Edelman [dedelman@acpub.duke.edu]
Has the right skill set to be a 3 in the NBA; he can
shoot the NBA 3-pointer and has decent rebounding ability to go with it.
Hustles all the time, very emotional player. May be limited in the NBA because
he isn't really quick enough to beat most NBA players off the dribble or to
defend most NBA 3's one-on-one. At worst a useful rotation forward; at best a
solid starter for a team that plays a lot of zone-like defenses and uses a
motion offense (Houston? Cleveland?).
