Batiste is a talented, all-around forward who played both power forward and small forward at Arizona State. He is, however, somewhat of a tweener. He lacks the bulk and height to play PF on a full-time basis, and doesn't quite have the ability to play SF full-time either. He does do well in terms of mid-range game though.
Batiste played well in the Desert Classic, attracting the attention of several scouts, and figures to get an invite to Chicago.

Looks like a 2nd round pick at this point.
