MESA oversees U.S. ecological on-the-farm internships for young international farming stewards. The annual programs last 8-12 months, usually beginning April 1. In exchange for the full-time committment of experienced farmer interns, hosts provide room, board & training. Hosts also send monthly program fees to MESA which, in turn, enable the organization to provide all interns with stipends, medical insurance, educational events, domestic travel and administrative support.

MESA collaborates with international sustainable ag. organizations and universities throughout the world to competitively select and screen intern applicants.

MESA seeks host farms throughout the country who feel they have something valuable to share with aspiring farm stewards abroad.
