The Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture (MISA) is a partnership between the University of Minnesota's College of Agricultural, Food, and Environmental Sciences and the Sustainers' Coalition, a group of individuals and non-profit organizations including:
  • Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy
  • Land Stewardship Project
  • The Minnesota Project
  • Minnesota Food Association
  • Organic Growers and Buyers Association
  • Sustainable Farming Association of Minnesota
MISA's purpose is to bring together the interests of the agricultural community in a cooperative effort to develop and promote sustainable agriculture. MISA supports interdisciplinary research and education teams in Minnesota that include farmers, researchers, and other agricultural professionals and community members. MISA also operates the Information Exchange, a clearinghouse and referral service for sustainable agriculture information the focus of which is primarily in Minnesota.
