--October 16, 1993--

From the White House Oval Office today, President Clinton delivered his radio address to the nation. The President focused on economic growth and the North American Free Trade Agreement, and asked Americans to voice their support of NAFTA to their representatives. President Clinton also recognized the bravery of Michael Durant, the helicopter pilot who was held and then released in Somalia, and expressed sympathy for the 18 families who lost loved ones and the nearly 100 other soldiers who were wounded.
