The alt.music.chapel-hill Guide to the Triangle

Luncheon Dining in and around RTP

So I work in the Park. I fight the goddamn traffic every morning and every night. But unlike too many of my forlorn peers, I'm not stuck dining in the wretched onsite cafeteria, day in and day out. Because I'm a contractor (oh, the unexpected plusses of outsourcing), I can take long enough at lunch (75 minutes, usually) and spend enough (~$6.00) to go out every day. And I do. It's the high point of the day, and it makes staying till 7:30 or 8:00 at night less painful. (I know, I know, I'm participating in my own exploitation. So what. It's gonna happen anyway. I may as well be well fed.)

So if you're sick of Miami Subs, Jersey Mike's, Schlotzky's, whatever, you might consider widening your horizons a bit. Take this list for starters. These are all within 10 minutes of where I work, which is at the intersection of Alexander Drive and the Durham Freeway. If you're closer to the airport, well, sorry. Try the bloody outlet mall, or learn to drive fast.

Ok, take me back to the main Eat page.

This is the end of the page.
