OK. So I am hopelessly addicted to MOOing. Actually, hopelessly addicted isn't really the term -- casually aquainted is more like it, really. But, what is a MOO, you may ask? Well, in simple terms, it's a virtual on-line text-based reality system which is centered around socialising and meeting people. You can have a character (mine is Mistress_Kali on LambdaMOO) which can emulate many of the functions that humans do (and the great thing is, they don't even have to be human!). Unfortunately, sometimes people take the whole shebang a little bit too seriously and go off the deep end (like a friend of mine who had a guy stalk her), but mostly, it's all good.

How do you get on a moo? What's the difference between moos and muds and mushes and mucks and tinysex and furrysex and all that? Check out the incomplete (for now) hitchhikers guide to mooing for the lowdown on MOOs. For mud stuff, you can look at the Mud Archive, which hasn't been updated lately as far as I can tell.
