INTRODUCTION
This is a preliminary list of Presidential records and historical materials at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. The list is organized into 3 main groups: textual records and papers, audiovisual material, and oral history. Within each group, the lists are primarily arranged alphabetically by collection title, file segment, or oral history title. The volume for textual collections is indicated in linear feet, with one linear foot equivalent to approximately 2,000 pages.

In this list, titles for collections, file segments and historical material that have been processed (in whole or in part) and are available for research (as of February 1, 1994), are preceded by an asterisk [*]. More detailed descriptions of processed material are available in the Library research room.

The bulk of the Library's textual holdings are currently unprocessed and unavailable for research. The Library staff is busy with systematic processing, with additional segments opened to research on a periodic basis. Unprocessed Presidential records, however, may be requested by submitting a written Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Supervisory Archivist of the Reagan Library. FOIA requests for Reagan Presidential records are processed under provisions of the Presidential Records Act (44 U.S.C. 22) and segments of the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. 552, as amended).
