RESEARCH ASSISTANTSHIP
AGRONOMY DEPARTMENT
OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY

A one-half time research assistantship is available at either the M.S. or
Ph.D. levels.  The incumbent will work with an interdisciplinerary team
pursuing several research goals with bermudagrass and switchgrass. 
The team is comprised of a breeder/geneticist, molecular biologist, and
stress physiologist.  The incumbent may pursue thesis research in one of
several areas including: 1) genetic transformation of switchgrass and
bermudagrass, 2) cold-tolerance mechanisms in bermudagrass, 3)
cytogenetic/reproductive characteristics of switchgrass, and 4)
characterization of genetic variation for selected traits in switchgrass or
bermudagrass.
