			Announcement

A series of 5 videotapes entitled "MANAGED GRAZING" has been
prepared with funding from the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture
and the USDA-SARE program by Jim Russell and Dan Morrical from Iowa State
University's Department of Animal Science, Steve Barnhart from ISU's
Department of Agronomy and Ann Cowen, an Extension Associate in the
ISU-CHIPS program and the Lucas County Lakes Water Quality Project with the
assistance of other ISU faculty and staff, NRCS personnel and cooperating
farmers.

profitability of grazing animal production systems. Subjects covered
include advantages and limitations of intensively managed grazing, forage
plant growth management, grazing animal management, paddock layout, fencing
and watering systems and year-round forage resource use to optimize the
efficiency of forage use in grazing systems. Each videotape is 15 to 20
