Soybean Forage



One of the producers I work with is looking at growing soybeans for
forage.  I was wondering if anyone out there may have answers to the
following questions:

What quality and quantity can we expect?  Any research/farm observation
information you would be willing to share would be appreciated.

Are there any varieties bred for such a purpose?  I understood that there
were some USA soybean breeders working on this project.  Any
government/university groups or private companies who are engaged in such work
I would appreciate hearing from.


What cultural practices are currently being recommended where soybeans are
being grown for forage?

Any problems observed ensiling soybeans?
