Subject: Alfalfa lipids

I have been contacted by a person who is doing a commercial  
extraction of the lipid fraction of alfalfa. I don't know what the  
lipids will be used for; I guess that is propriatory information at  
this point. They are looking for a source of alfalfa that has an  
elevated lipid content. I recognize that the ether extract fraction  
of alfalfa is quite low.  Do you have any info on this? Could you  
transmit this message on the forage network with the request that
anyone with any info on "high lipid" alfalfa send it on to me?
