Rice Straw?!?!?
When a question comes into a Wisconsin county extension office regarding
rice straw, it's clearly a job for the internet. The situation is this: An
equipment manufacturer in Fond du Lac is working on a bedding chopper deal
with some Korean clients. Evidently, rice straw is used in Korea as a
bedding source and they want to know if the bedding chopper can handle it.
The manufacturer would like to purchase a load of rice straw for testing
purposes. Does anyone know if rice straw is baled in the U.S. and, if so,
are there any domestic suppliers? A name and phone number would be sufficient.
