Position: Graduate Research Assistant, Plant Breeding and Genetics,
	Dr. Paul C. St. Amand, Supervisor.

Location: Department of Agronomy, Kansas State University
	Manhattan KS 66506-5501

Job Responsibilities: Assist in the ongoing alfalfa breeding and genetics
	program. Work toward an M.S. or Ph.D. degree. Conduct research on
	marker assisted selection, plant disease resistance, or on a
	related alfalfa genetics project.

Qualifications: B.S. or preferably M.S. degree in Plant Breeding, Genetics,
	Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Horticulture, or closely related field.
	Experience with molecular genetic lab protocols, plant breeding
	methodology, or plant pathogen screening is preferred.

Stipend and Fees: The annual salary is $12,398 for M.S. candidates and
	$13,690 for Ph.D. candidates. GRA's are considered residents and
	annual tuition and fees range from $1,800 to $3,000 depending on
	number of credit hours taken.
