Apprentices wanted for CSA-Food Bank Farm

the Capital Area Food Bank, and the Chesapeake CSA, is searching for 3-5
interns for the growing season to participate in our many activites.
These include a 206 share CSA farm, vegetable production for three
community organization operated farm stands in DC neighborhoods, childrens
garden for farm visitors, and other educational activites. The farm is
located 20 miles from Washington, DC , on an environmental center operated
by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. The center has hiking trails, education
facilities, and an organically raised cattle herd. Each year the center
has apx. 6000 visitors.

Prospective interns should posses a strong desire to learn organic
vegetable production and be willing to participate in community building
activites. Growing experience is helpful however not required.
Compensation: Hourly Wage, Board.
