Fire season is nearly upon the western states and though there has
 been good rainfall, forests are still suffering from overpopulation
 and a preponderance of standing dead trees due to beetle damage.  In 
lower elevations all that rain will cause an abundance of grass and
weed growth which is sure to fuel very fast moving wildfires by the
 end of this summer.  For anyone who lives in fire prone rural areas
should know how to make a homesite defensible.
