Aquatic Botanist (Band 6) (ref : LN6124)

An aquatic botanist is required to study the response of aquatic
macrophytes to crop protection products and their residues with the
objective of developing standard assessment protocols for use in UK
pesticide registration procedures.

The successful candidate should have at least a first degree and post
graduate experience in a relevant subject and will need a thorough
knowledge of aquatic botany / plant ecology and an ability to handle
aquatic macrophytes experimentally. The Post Holder will also be expected
to have a basic knowledge of crop protection product chemistry and some
familiarity with genetic and molecular techniques.

Salary will be in the range 13,951 to 19,425 per annum, with 25 days
annual leave and is superannuable.
