DIPLOMA/MSc IN INDUSTRIAL CROP TECHNOLOGY

Over-production of food and environmental concerns have led to
increased production of non-food crops in the EU, aimed at providing
the fibre, oil, starch and biomass raw materials for industry. As agricultural
production expands in Eastern Europe and elsewhere, there will be a demand
for graduates with training in the production and use of alternative crops
for industry.
This new one-year course, run by SAC and validated by the University
of Aberdeen, aims to satisfy the demand for graduates in an expanding
area of non-food crop production. The course covers the agronomy,
processing, quality and development of crops for industrial uses, and
gives students the opportunity to carry out research and develop
transferable skills.

Applications are invited from graduates in agricultural, biological, or
land-based sciences for entry in September 1997
