Dear Listers,
I have just completed a Doctorate
Course at the Institute of Developing
Countries
of the Faculty of Geography & Regional Studies of
the University
of Warsaw in Poland. I carried out
research on the Sustainable Usage
of
Agrochemicals in Developing Countries - a case
study of Zambia. In this work,
I prove that
developing countries can attain food security by
utilizing
agricultural methods that are
sustainable. Whilst the First Green
Revolution,
concentrated on the usage of inputs
like fertilizers, pesticides,
intensive
agricultural methods and hybrid plant
cultivars, the Second Green Revolution
must
concentrate on reducing dependence on fertilizers,
pesticides, intensive
agricultural methods that
destroy the natural environment. This can be done
by
using agrochemicals based on Biotechnology,
Organic agriculture and new
agricultural methods
that reduce erosion and leaching.

I would like
to continue my research by creating a Database on
all types of
agrochemicals that can be used in
Developing Countries according to the norms
of
Sustainable agriculture. I am now looking for
institutions that can fund
this research or
Universities interested in these subjects.
Therefore, I kindly
request you to send me hints
on such possibilities.
For those decided, I can
send my CV and publication record as soon as
possible.
My e-mail address is
MBEWE@PLEARN.EDU.PL
Thank you for any help
rendered,
Dr. Mbewe
