Fruit/vege culture and vitamin content

A student keen to do a project on influence of growing techniques
(fertiliser/pesticide use) on vitamin content of crop has asked me to
source information. All I have been able to find is an old (1948)
reference on the deleterious effect of nitrogen on vitamin C
concentrations in citrus!
Can any one suggest a recent review as a starting point to which I
might refer the student.
