There are currently vacancies in two areas:
1. Farmer Rancher - Two vacant slots; one slot is for a farmer/rancher w
ith expertise in integrated crop and pest management and the other vacancy is
for a farmer/rancher with expertise in small-scale sustainable agriculture syst
ems.
2. Non-governmental Organization/Private Voluntary Organization (NGO/PVO
) One slot available for candidate affiliated with an organization that works i
n the area of sustainable agriculture.
Individuals nominated for positions must live and work in the Southern Region.
The Southern Region includes AL, AR, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, OK, SC, TN. TX, VA
, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Farmer/rancher Administrative Council me
mbers are compensated for the time they spend in meetings.

e) biographical statement. The nomination letter should include a statement in
dicating why the nominee would be a good addition to the Administrative Council
