prisons and horticulture therapy

Hi, I am a Landscape Architecture major at the University of Oregon and I
am researching for a studio project the subject of horticultural
therapy. Our site is for a assisted living center where people are
unable to do the things that most take for granted. I am writing to you
for information because prisons and assisted living centers have this
commonality. please write me back with information about what the site
looks like and what kind of gardens are at the prison. If you have done
something completely unorthadox please tell me too. I am interested from
hearing from you and feel you may enhance my design. Thank you for your
