I participate in a project called the Regional Infrastructure for Sustaining
Agriculture (RISA) whose goal is to support and sustain agriculture in
southeastern Pennsylvania. It is one of 18 Integrated Farming Systems (IFS)
projects funded primarily by the W.K. Kellogg foundation. The IFS network
could be a valuable source of information for you.
RISA participants are a diverse group of stakeholders from all over the
region interested in keeping agriculture alive in a highly urbanizing area,
increasing food access, particularly among underserved populations--and in
improving the connections between rural and urban communities.
