Sanet-ers,

I'm trying to develop a bibliography of research studies on creation of
sustainable agricultural enterprises, especially marketing and
value-added systems. I'm most interested in research on how to help
groups of farmers create new value-added enterprises.

Rob Fletcher of Univ Queensland recently sent me a review of

Ripples in the Zambezi
Ernesto Sirolli
Published in 1995 by the Institute for Science and Technology Policy,
Murdoch University, Murdoch, Western Australia

Has anyone else seen that book, or, better yet, the actual work described
in the book?

Sirolli seems to be successfully applying some action research ideas
(what he calls enterprise facilitation) to rural development.

Do you know of anyone else actively pursuing research on creation of
sustainable rural enterprises?

Thanks for your help.
