alternatives to capitalism

Since this topic is getting considerable attention here on sanet, I wanted
to add our experience from the last three years which indicates that the
alternative institutions still wait to be created. We have a very large
business opportunity available for people interested in organic
foodprocessing. However, to date we have found no one who wants to set up
what we had hoped for: decentralized, regional small scale food processing
facilities which could deliver a healthy food to the marketplace, with
minimal long distance trucking.
Next summer we will present our patented technology at the first
international conference on tempeh in Bali and it is very likely that we
will then "sell out" to large foodprocessing interests. (Our retirement
funds are tied up in this and we have already retired).
It seems a shame that there is not the interest/ability to have made this
work - but we will sleep well since we have done nothing lately but tried.
