Dan,

You are preaching to the choir. WHEN I had chickens, they were free
ranging chickens that did all the things you say.

But, as I said in my earlier note, I can no longer keep them due to a
health problem my wife has. I might be able to keep a few chickens
cooped up and sealed away from the rest of the place. But that would
defeat the entire purpose of having them except for the end result; meat.

I can go buy a chicken, already killed and plucked. And yes, I DO eat
the gizzards.
