ORGANIC TRADE SHOW BUSTING ITS SEAMS
The Eco-Products Trade Show at the 16th Annual Guelph Organic Conference
has now registered 57 exhibitors, with a target of 65 by Conference day,
Saturday, January 25th. The Conference - "Organic Farming Demystified" -
is Canada's longest running such educational event.
This commercial exposition highlights organic agriculture's focus on
economic sustainability. The 57 companies and groups on display represent
a vast range of products, services and philosophies including: organic
export brokerage, organic Internet services, farm certification,
fertilizers, biological control, equipment, energy-efficient housing,
permaculture, rare breeds, videos, environmental farm plans, heritage
seeds, local exchange trading systems, etc.
It has already attracted exhibitors from PEI, Qu=E9bec, Ontario, Michigan, B=
C
and California. The alternative Expo sprawls throughout the main
concourse, Guelph University Centre and is free-of-charge to farmers,
researchers, students, business people and the general public. "The
Eco-Products Trade Show presents a clear focus for all buyers, including
the general public, to find out where the organic suppliers are located"
said co-ordinator Tom=E1s Nimmo, who has worked with the Conference since
1982.
Guests attending Fred Kirschenmann's keynote address and the workshops are
required to pay the general admission charge. With a full printed
