Well, considering the price one gets for wool, you might actually save
money by throwing it on the compost pile instead of paying for gasoline
to truck it to the wool pool. I actually do throw my tags on the compost
pile, and I mulched my strawberries with some junk wool. Unless you
inoculate with moths, it takes a long time to break down, though.

And based on the price one sometimes gets for meat, it might make sense
to mulch with lamb chops too. . .
