The Consortium for International Earth Science Information Network
(CIESIN) is pleased to announce release of the Agricultural Crops
Observation and Performance Service (AgCrOPS). AgCrOPS is a free
service offering farmers a quick online reference guide to the results
of university-based corn and soybeans varietal trials. It also provides
a unique one-stop catalog for seed products of seed companies. AgCrOPS
yield trial data come from a neutral, third party source, the state
land grant universities.
AgCrOPS can be accessed through the Web at http://www.agcrops.org.
We encourage you to add AgCrOPS to your web site. Your input for
improving the system would be highly appreciated. Please share the
AgCrOPS web address (http://www.agcrops.org) with your colleagues and
neighboring farmers. AgCrOPS will continue to grow through
incorporation of trial data for other major crops and for additional
states. Please send your mailing address for receiving updates on
AgCrOPS.
