Help Wanted:
Harmony Valley Farm, a 50 acre fresh market, organic vegetable farm
in the beautiful river valleys of S.W. Wisconsin is hiring several
experienced, skilled, highly motivated people in the following areas:
Packing Shed Specialist
Supervise washing, packing quality control of wide variety of
crops.
Maintain and clean equipment.
Maintain records.
Fill orders.
Organization, efficiency, responsibility are important skills.
Field Operations Specialist
Tractor and farm equipment operation and maintenance.
Primary responsibility for tillage, cover crop establishment,
incorporation, and maintenance, and mowing.
Compost turning, spreading.
Spraying botanicals and foliar fertilizers.
Mechanical cultivation.
Tractor experience, self motivation, time management skills are a
must.
Farm Generalist
Participate in greenhouse operation, transplanting, irrigation,
basic tractor operation, spraying of botanicals, washing and
packing and general farm maintenance.
Farm Chef
Use top quality, fresh from the field produce and prepare meals
for 6-8 people.
Base menus on what's available.
Write short article for weekly newsletter about the week's food.
Develop recipes for seasonal produce.
Conduct food demos or tastings at farmers' market or retail
grocery.
Salary based on experience and responsibilities $200 - $350 /wk plus
