Thank you for the ideas, resource materials, participation, and positive
comments for the Linking People, Purpose, and Place: An Ecological Approach
to Agriculture workshops. Your input added to the success of these North
Central Region Professional Development meetings. Building partnerships
does take time, but the results are worth it.
Dr. John Ikerd with the University of Missouri began the workshop in
Manhattan, Kansas, with the following words:
Shared leadership is shared interdependence. You give up control, but
retain the responsibility to influence. To be able to do this, you must
