(fwd) Sustainable ag position at Clinch Powell
Position avaiable:
The Clinch Powell Sustainable Development Initiative, a regional nonprofit
organization based in the Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee and Virginia,
announces the avaiability of a two-year position for a Sustainable Farm
Products Market Development Specialist.
The specialist will work with local farmers, farming cooperatives and food
product entrepreneurs to assess and develop high-value markets for
sustainably raised meats, produce and value-added farm products.
Based in Abingdon, Va., the position will require extensive travel and
working with a diverse range of people. Successful candidates will be
innovative, determined and creative. Three to five years experience in
specialty and/or produce marketing is essential. Understanding of
sustainable farming and experience working with nonprofits is preferred.
Salary range: $25,000 to $32,000 per year.
