As a member of the Local Arrangements Committee (LAC) for the 8th
National
Urban Forestry Conference I would like to thank you for your recent post
to the Tree-House.
Another Web site, by the LAC, that is developing is:

The conference will feature the "Virtual Coffeehouse" where attendees
and those who can't make it to Atlanta can keep posted on conference
activities, exhibitors and presentations.
We are working on a "Youth and Urban Forestry" Web site in conjunction
with the conference to allow students and teachers an opportunity to
take part in the conference activities and learn more about urban &
community forestry in their hometowns.
Conference packages are available from American Forests; but, if you
have any general questions about the conference, don't hesitate to send
me an e-mail through the Tree-House or directly.
In keeping with our theme, "Cities by Nature's Design", all registrants
will receive a 6 day pass on MARTA, Atlanta's public transportation
system. This will make it possible for everyone to fly or drive to
Atlanta and then rely on public transportation without concern for
traffic, parking or car rentals.
Are opening reception on Tuesday night can be reached easily on MARTA.
