GBlist: Solar hot water heat exchange fluids.

I'm looking into retrofit alternatives to ethylene glycol for closed
loop solar hot water systems. I've had polyethylene glycol
recommended.

Who can suggest suppliers of PG? How toxic is it? Are there different
grades available.

I've heard of "food grade" PG.
I've heard that diesels and some rec vehicles use PG, maybe different
grade.
What performance differences might be expected compared to EG in this
application?

Thanks for any help,
