Hal, this is somewhat off the topic of green _building_, but I think
it is pertinent to building a green earth. You mention vegetarianism.
I believe that it is worthwhile considering the daily impacts of what we
do in our homes as they are being built, and once we actually occupy them.

There is certainly worthwhile to considering the sourcing, embodied energy and
toxicity of what we put in our bodies. Eating local, organic and bottom-
of-the-food-chain foods seems like smart fuel selection. Goes well with wheatboard
for breakfast!
